So here’s the thing, I’ve had my dog for almost a year and didn’t have fleas. But I got 2 kittens about 2 months ago and they had fleas so now my dog has them bad all she does is scratch and I feel really bad because she’s leaving rashes in her body from scratch. I tried bathing her with flea shampoo and I bathe the cats with dawn. My apt is all rug so I tried to vaccum everything and wash their beddings but they always seem to come back.. I’m thinking of getting advantage for them. I know its expensive but getting outta hand I even had a flea jump on my bed.. Anyone with experience can give me some advice on what to do. If advantage really works. Answers very much appreciated
We have used flea meds in the past on our cats and it worked just fine (same brand). However, this is the first time in a year at least that we bought some. After putting it on the backs of their necks, we assumed the fleas would die as in the past. However, now the flea dirt is out of control and there are MORE fleas. What happened? Should I ask my vet for more (free)? We spent for three treatments. Why didn’t it work this time?

I have 5 indoor cats.
I have one dog, who is obviously in and out all day.
I usually buy Advantage for the pets, because it’s inevitable that at least once a year we get fleas.
This year I’ve noticed that I can save some money by buying Frontline, but there aren’t any weight classes for cats on Petmeds.com
That seems really weird to me, but can I just give the same dose to my 15lb cat as I would to my 2lb kitten?
