Sergeant’s Skip-Flea and Tick Shampoo for cats…?
My kitty has fleas, and about a week ago I used this shampoo on her. I just gave her another bath today because she showed little to no signs of improvement. Unfortunately I started reading some absolutely horrific reviews on this brand of shampoo that resulted in numerous cases of the cat’s death, and though it says to use once every two weeks I gave her two in one week. I am horribly concerned about this.
What do I do? Is she fine, or should I be looking for symptoms that I should take her to the vet?
Well I went to the vet about a month ago, and he gave my cat a shot that would sterilize fleas when they bite her for about six months and some Advantix that would last the month. But the thing is that I’m working with about six dogs, and they’ve had an ongoing epic flea battle. I’m afraid that I keep bringing fleas back home with me.
I’ll check out Advantix. Thanks for the suggestion.
Can I re-shampoo my cats with flea shampoo?
I gave my cats a flea bath probably a week ago and they still have fleas on them. The shampoo says to use it once a month and that it isn’t necessary to re-shampoo unless they’re "excessively dirty". They’re clean, they just still have fleas? I am using Sergeant’s Gold flea and tick shampoo for cats & kittens. I don’t want to harm them by doing it again so soon since there are many precautions you have to take just to put it on them.
They’re both indoor cats only for the last 5 months, they’re only 6 months old. We don’t have a flea problem that I know of. Kind of weird.
What are some home remedies for cats that were bathed in flea shampoos containing pesticides?
I washed my cat in Hartz Ultraguard flea and tick shampoo and she developed sores on her chin and the on the sides of her mouth. i was told by the vet that the shampoo contains pesticides that may harm the skin. How could i fix this without spending a lot of money?
Or should i just let the vet fix it?
no funny or bothersome answers be serious everyone
the vetrinarian center i took her to was an emergency vet and could’t afford the after hours service.i plan on taking her this upcoming week.
