What's the best heartworm medicine brand?

The ones I’ve seen are Heartgard, Iverhart, and Interceptor. Does it really matter which one I use? Are they all equally effective?

Also, will my dog need to go to the vet before I start her on heartworm medicine? I would rather order from 1-800-PetMeds than the vet, but I wasn’t sure if they’ll need to test her for heartworms before I start giving it to her.

I want the Advantage brand. I just found out my cat has fleas by using a very simple online method and yeah, this sucks. its totally fu*king gross, im about to vomit.

see now i have to get my dad to buy my cat some advantage because im only 15, i cant just buy this on my own. i dont know how to approach him because JUST TODAY we took our cat to the vet and spent about 317 dollars for some cat medicine (my cat was sick and hurt his paw)

so yeah, please tell me

1) how much does this medicine cost
^ you know, anyone who might have bought it.

2) So how can i approach him, he already spent alot of money on this "claravax" cat medicine and … i’m not sure how to tell him im chiecking my cat for fleas when my cat is wounded and is basically on bed-rest on MY bed….

3) there isnt a possibility that i can get any kind of nastyness on me, right? like a teenage girl getting some sort of ‘fleas’ on her…??
ahh, im scared.

THANK YOU :]

please help ::(
The vet said my cat is about 14.5 pounds.

thats what the vet wrote on the paper.

My kitten is currently on Revolution but I have noticed her scooting on the ground, which is a sign of parasites. I have an appointment for her at my vet to check if she has parasites. Anyway, I did not realize Revolution did not cover all worms. What medicine or combination of medicines, like Advantage Multi for cats, is best to prevent heartworms, ring worms, hook worms, other worms, fleas, tickes, and ear mites?

Sergeants Silver Squeeze-on for cats and kittens can hurt your cat it hurt 2 of mine, take to vet if this happens to your cat:panting, crying, rolling around, and mad

I treated my cat with Advantage flea medicine on his neck/head area and it has been about 30-45 minutes and this flaky white stuff is in his fur in that spot now which looks like dandruff. He has itched the spot so its not something he did. Could it be a side effect? Have any of you used the Advantage for cats? How well does it work?
Thanks,
Jamie
