I’ve been using Advantage for the last year or so and it has always worked wonderfully, but it hasn’t been working all that well lately and it seems the fleas returned just after a few days. I am thinking that maybe I should switch treatments, but I’ve heard that Frontline doesn’t work as well as Advantage and I’d hate to spend money on something that doesn’t work. What other alternatives are out there that actually work?

i have 3 cats. 2 are 2 years old, and the other is an elder cat. i’ve been using frontline plus on them but i still saw fleas crawling on them. then someone told me that frontline only kills the fleas when they bite the cat. does advantage kills AND prevents the fleas from coming on my cats? advantage is mostly only for fleas but frontline kills ticks, fleas, etc. my cats go outside so i don’t know if they need tick protection. i don’t live near the woods. i live in NY in a suburban area. what should i do? for anyone who tried frontline and advantage, which one is better? and what are the side affects if any?
i’m just afraid because i saw reviews about advantage for cats and it gives them bad side effects. maybe i’ll only get the 4 pack and if it works then i’ll get the 12 month pack.

I have a 20 Year old cat which is very very skinny, im talking about like 5lbs, or under. She has fleas, but she is old. Can advantage for cats and kittens under 9lbs be used?

what i want to know is,,, i”ve used advantage once for all my 8 cats and it worked great so far but i know there will be some fleas who have hatched so i need to reapply but……how soon do i reapply especially for 8 cats?? i think having 8 cats would have to speed up the once a month process….is a week or 2 ok??? thanks
ps. i’m doing what i can with their surroundings like mopping/sweeping our hardwood floors plus puting flea powder on them.
also- i have seen live fleas on my cats now so thats why i’m asking if i should reapply…

Shes still scratching. Is that because the 9 lb and under treatment isnt strong enough? Am i able to get the 9lb and over sooner? because im trying to treat my house as well so the faster the fleas are gone the better. Is it bad to get the stronger advantage before the 3 weeks is up?
