How to get rid of ticks?
Last week I found this really ugly looking beetle – then about 3 days ago I found a tick that my son picked up when outside playing. Then the next day my husband tells me that he found a "full"tick (which was the same as the ugly beetle I found) – then today I found another "full tick" on the wall.
All of our animals (two cats and one dog) are on prevention – but I have also just bathed them all and re applied the prevention & sprayed the carpet with flea and tick killer – where are these things coming from and who/what are they feeding on?
I haven’t seen one on any of the pets – they are all on Advantage/K-9 Advantix. Most of the ticks we are finding are crawling in the house full of blood…..
I need to figure out how they are getting in the house – to keep them from getting in and how do I kill them now that they are in here?
How do you save Anemic cats?
On July 18, my cat had 4 kittens. They immediately had fleas, as the mother had them too. Now over the past 3 days, 2 of them have died, as they were Anemic from the fleas. And the other two, I am fearing will share the same fate.I can tell that they are anemic because their gum’s and tongue’s are white, and I can not see the veins in their ears. I am feeding them "Hartz Milk replacement for kittens", powdered a little bit of "Hartz Ultra Guard Flea and tick Powder for cats" on them, and just keeping them warm and feeding them often. And I also put the powder on the mother. Can anyone else give me any suggestions as to keep them alive? This has dealt a great amount of stress on the family. I would greatly appreciate some responses. Thanks

Can I re-shampoo my cats with flea shampoo?
I gave my cats a flea bath probably a week ago and they still have fleas on them. The shampoo says to use it once a month and that it isn’t necessary to re-shampoo unless they’re "excessively dirty". They’re clean, they just still have fleas? I am using Sergeant’s Gold flea and tick shampoo for cats & kittens. I don’t want to harm them by doing it again so soon since there are many precautions you have to take just to put it on them.
They’re both indoor cats only for the last 5 months, they’re only 6 months old. We don’t have a flea problem that I know of. Kind of weird.
cat spray in the carpet??
Okay my house is starting to become overrun by fleas….i have this hartz 2 in 1 flea and tick cat spray that i put on my cat and it says not only can you put it on them…but that you can use on their bedding and other areas as needed…i was wondering if it would hurt anything to spray it in my carpet???
Yes i have heard of bombing …i just cant do it at the moment….i planned on doing that either tommorrow or the next day…i have my kitten, and two dogs in the house…i already put the powder stuff in one of my rooms but after i vacumed it up my vacum (sp) messed up and i wasnt able to do the rest of my rooms. I know what i need to do to get rid of them i was just wondering if i could put it in the carpet to relieve a lil stress from my animals till i can bomb. The bottle doesnt say anything about it so i just wasnt sure…
forgot to say they are all inside animals..haha..i got the fleas when i let the kittens mother come in the house to eat and let the kitten nurse…
I’ve got the shampoos and the good stuff you put down their backs but i cant give it to them because it hasnt been the amount of time to wait to put it on again….
I have the floor stuff but my vacum(sp) messed up after i did one room today….. it is one that doesnt have a bag so when i empy it i always put it in a plastic bag and tie it off really good…. no one is answering my question….i know the good stuff to use….i have it i just cant use it…i have to wait till the time i can put it on again….i dont need to know what to use…i just wanted to know if i can use the cheap stuff on my floor to kill some of them till i can bomb tommorrow! thats all i want to know….i sprayed a lil one a part of the carpet and there was no discoloration or anything…
