Frontline has gotten expensive–even through 1-800-PetMeds and I have heard that with regular use of it, it can enter the bloodstream, be processed by the liver, and reduce the life of dogs up to 25%. The chemicals themselves aren’t even good for the skin. Are there any natural ways I can do at home that would prevent fleas in dogs?

I am going to put my 10 month old cat on flea control tomorrow. Which one should I choose or do I get the one the vet recommends? My cat has fleas and scratches all the time. I find black specks on her sleeping area and blood too. Not a lot of blood, tiny spots.

Will the vet put her on flea control or will I have to do it at home?

What gets rid of fleas and the cycle the best? I have 2 persian long haired cats.
