Advantage for Kittens and Cats (Both under and over nine pounds treatments)

What do you use or recommend?
I have Three 3 month old kittens & One 7 month old kitten & a Young adult cat.

I went to the vet today to pick up my cats advantage. I just put it on him when my husband said it looked like to much was being put on my cat. I told him it was the right amount for my 22 pound cat. After listen to my husband complaining, I double checked the label…OMG I was given the wrong Advantage. The advantage I was given is for a 96 pound k-9!!! Can my cat overdose? What should I do. I have had BAD experiences with my ER vet so I hate to call them.
The advantage came from the vet not anything from the store. I just called the local animal ER & Critical Care Center and they told me to watch my cat through the night and to look for the exact signs that lsisDane described. Thanks everyone for the quick answers to my question.

My cats have fleas, and I sprayed them last night with the Hartz 3 in 1 Cat Spray for fleas & ticks, it seems to have worked because the bumps on my cat are gone…unfortunately the stupid spray bottle has no directions. Is that it? Or I’m I supposed to keep using the spray? Should I wait a few days to reapply it?

Last week I found this really ugly looking beetle – then about 3 days ago I found a tick that my son picked up when outside playing. Then the next day my husband tells me that he found a "full"tick (which was the same as the ugly beetle I found) – then today I found another "full tick" on the wall.

All of our animals (two cats and one dog) are on prevention – but I have also just bathed them all and re applied the prevention & sprayed the carpet with flea and tick killer – where are these things coming from and who/what are they feeding on?
I haven’t seen one on any of the pets – they are all on Advantage/K-9 Advantix. Most of the ticks we are finding are crawling in the house full of blood…..
I need to figure out how they are getting in the house – to keep them from getting in and how do I kill them now that they are in here?

I gave my cats a flea bath probably a week ago and they still have fleas on them. The shampoo says to use it once a month and that it isn’t necessary to re-shampoo unless they’re "excessively dirty". They’re clean, they just still have fleas? I am using Sergeant’s Gold flea and tick shampoo for cats & kittens. I don’t want to harm them by doing it again so soon since there are many precautions you have to take just to put it on them.

They’re both indoor cats only for the last 5 months, they’re only 6 months old. We don’t have a flea problem that I know of. Kind of weird.
