Color of cat attracting ticks?

Ok, I have 2 cats. 1 is a gold tabby and 1 is black. I find that I pull a lot of ticks off of the tabby and rarely any on the black. I live in the country and both roam (both males neutered at 6 mths). Has anyone heard of a certain color of cat attracting more ticks than another? If anyone has an idea for the difference in the # of ticks, I would appreciate it.
I find the ticks by feeling all around the cats often, not waiting until the ticks are so big you can see them by their size and color. and I do that because I know that they carry diseases, even though they have prevention on them.
Coat colour has absolutely nothing to do with whether your cat will get ticks or not. The one is probably just wandering that’s in an area that’s infested with them while the other one isn’t.
Are you aware that ticks carry lots of difference diseases? You need to get your cats on a flea and tick preventative. And better yet – keep them indoors where they’re safe.
Maybe because in a black coat, it is harder to find dark parasites than in coats that are orange. It could be how healthy their blood in general is.
This is sort of related, but in certain people, mosquitoes are more attracted to them than in others.
maybe the tabby goes outside a little too much, or maybe it has a chemichal on its fur that attracts bugs.
